01 – The Silk Road

The Silk Road is a celebrated historical trail which has been romanticized as the first connection of vast trades and travels between the East and the West. Historical records have dated and celebrated the beginning of the Silk Road to be approximately around 130 BCE when the Chinese explorer, Zhang Qian made his thirteen year journey across Eurasia. However, with the studies of the Xinjiang mummies, their existence disproves this historical fact, their existence proves that there was never a time when people did not travel back and forth across the whole of Eurasia.
